The movie was directed by John Frimpong Kennedy and produced by Roosevelt Eric Adom. The movie is the second from Sunawood Multimedia.
The movie stars George Laine (Kohwe), Eunice Banini, Michael Afrane, Kwaku Anderson Frimpong (Kaf Junior), Loretta Clarke, Afia Poku Gifty and Portia Adenyo.
Producer Roosevelt Eric Adom in an interview with Citi News said, “This movie is to expose some ills in the Ghanaian society especially some outmoded cultural practices which are against the girl-child. Upon all the movies that were sent to the National Theatre it is only the “Ancestral Treaty” they selected just because there is something unique about this movie. Ghanaians should patronize the movie because it is educative.”
Mr. Adom noted that producing the movie has not been easy, but he was optimistic it would make the needed impact.
“It has not been easy coming out with this production, because we have to pitch camp at Tanoboase in the Techiman North District for the shooting of the movie. I am grateful to all the crew and people who have supported us in one way or the other,” Mr. Adom disclosed.
