2nd Edition of Brong Ahafo music Awards BAMA to be Launched on 6th July 2019 At….

Organizers of the Biggest Music Awards Scheme across the 3 regions of BA; that is BONO EAST, BONO AND AHAFO Region through their social media platforms have indicated that, the much anticipated music awards scheme is ready to be launched next month – July 6th 2019 at Mandela Restaurant.

chatting with Gh konkonsa Seth in a WhatsApp interview with the CEO of the Awards scheme gathered that, a lot of changes have been made to the 2nd Edition as part of efforts to make the awards scheme much more attractive as it is already.

Mr Joshua Anemi; J black, as he is popular called, emphasized that there was a need for several changes to be effected based on last year’s experience. This is what he had to say; “You know, last year was the first edition of BAMA. An event which has never been organized at the regional level here in BA. There were things that could have been added or subtracted last year to make the awards scheme meet other targets besides the original target of breaking regional music barriers as the theme denoted last year. For this reason we have identified some of these plus and minuses, hence have made justice to the following;

1) Planning Committee, PR and Communication, board and the nominations academy.

2) Nominations process
3) Voting
4) Qualifications needed to be nominated
5) Choice of Venues
6) Branding
7) Partnerships
8) Categories.”

He further went on to add that, Nominations is expected to close on the 22nd of June 2019 with no extension of date. In addition, the launching and unveiling of Nominees shall take place in Sunyani – regional capital of Bono Region.

When posed with a question of how many nominees should we expect to be nominated, J Black was quick to state that, the board will decide on that. However, for now, all he could say is for the general public to expect 7 nominees per each category.

We will follow through to bring you more updates on BAMA 2019.
